Nilo Cruz and Stephen Adly Guirgis are among the scribes invited to head out to Wyoming for the Sundance Playwrights Retreat at the Ucross Foundation.

Along with Cruz, the Pulitzer Prize winner whose “Beauty of the Father” is running at Manhattan Theater Club, and Guirgis (“Our Lady of 121st Street”), playwrights David Adjmi, Hilly Hicks Jr. and Kathleen Tolan (“Memory House”) and composer Jenny Giering (“The Mistress Cycle”) will spend Feb. 6-24 at a ranch in Ucross, Wyo., creating or refining new work.

Philip Himberg, producing a.d. of the Sundance Theater Program, selects the artists. Annual retreat has spawned Doug Wright’s Pulitzer-winning “I Am My Own Wife” and Adam Guettel’s Tony winner “The Light in the Piazza.”
