New Short Fiction Series kicks off 10th year

Perfs will be held at BevHills Public Library

The New Short Fiction Series will begin its 10th anniversary season in Los Angeles with Aimee Phan’s “We Should Never Meet,” series producer Sally Shore has announced.

The literary series, which features dramatic reading performances of works by West Coast writers, stars Shore and a rotating cast of guest thesps, mostly from the film and television world.

“We Should Never Meet” will be performed this Friday . Other works scheduled are: “The Summer of Love,” by Keith Onstad, “The Weight of the Sun,” by Geronimo Tagatac and “The Way of the Cardinal,” by Rose Hamilton Gottlieb.

Over its 10 years, the New Short Fiction Series has presented more than 100 books, including six Los Angeles Times bestsellers.

Performances this year will be held at the Beverly Hills Public Library.
