Flamenco show fills gap until 'Legally Blonde' opens
Broadway’s Palace Theater won’t be entirely dark between last May’s closing of “Lestat” and the April opening of “Legally Blonde.”Theater’s landlords, the Nederlanders, have found a temporary tenant in “Mi Soledad,” a flamenco show from Spanish hoofer Joaquin Cortes. Production plays the Palace Dec. 11-22. “Soledad,” which includes a 10-piece orchestra and a seven-member chorus, has played London, Paris, Tokyo, Madrid and other cities since its Mexico City preem last year. A 2007 U.S. tour is in the works. A previous show by Cortes, “Live,” played Gotham’s City Center in 2004.
