Meta-tuner sets return

Musical picks up again at Vineyard

Like “Pajama Game,” “[title of show]” will also be back.

The meta-tuner, in which four performers portray themselves engaged in the process of creating and performing a new musical, will pick up again at the Vineyard Theater on July 14 in the form of an eight-week commercial run produced by Kevin McCollum (“The Drowsy Chaperone”), Laura Camien and the Vineyard.

First, though, the show must shutter April 30 to make way for the next Vineyard production, of Mary Pat Gleason’s play “Stopping Traffic.”

The cast recording will be released in early May by Sh-K-Boom’s Ghostlight Records.

“[title of show]” stars composer-lyricist Jeff Bowen, book writer Hunter Bell, Susan Blackwell and Heidi Blickenstaff. Michael Berresse, the “Light in the Piazza” thesp set for the fall revival of “A Chorus Line,” directs.
