‘Jersey’ jaunts to Ahmanson

The national tour of “Jersey Boys” will play from May through July at the Ahmanson in L.A.

Extended stay is the second announced stop on the “Jersey” tour, which kicks off in San Francisco in December.

On the Ahmanson sked, “Jersey,” which originated at the La Jolla Playhouse, replaces the Berry Gordy Motown tuner “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” indefinitely delayed due to copyright issues.

Since it opened in Gotham in November, “Jersey,” a bio-tuner about Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, has become one of Broadway’s top sellers, and it looks likely to find similar success on the road. The show took home four Tonys in June, including the trophy for tuner.
