O'Byrne heads to big 'City'

No longer in “Doubt,” Brian F. O’Byrne is headed for “Shining City.”

Irish thesp, who leaves the Broadway transfer of the Manhattan Theater Club production of “Doubt” on Sunday, will return to MTC for his next role, a therapist in Conor McPherson’s “Shining City.”

O’Byrne, a 2004 Tony winner for his role as a serial killer in “Frozen,” will appear opposite Oliver Platt, who plays a man haunted by visions of his dead wife. Helmed by Robert Falls, the production opens May 3.
