‘Golf’ tees off at McCarter Theater

Wilson's final effort makes a pit stop before B'way

“Radio Golf,” August Wilson’s last play, will make a stop at Princeton’s McCarter Theater next spring before the show heads for Broadway.

Kenny Leon-helmed production is part of the theater’s 2006-07 season.

Newly announced sked kicks off in September with a production of Harold Pinter’s “The Birthday Party,” directed by McCarter a.d. Emily Mann. The world preem of Mann’s new play, “Mrs. Packard,” wraps up the season in May 2007.

The season’s other offerings are a production of Brian Friel’s “Translations,” directed by Garry Hynes (“The Beauty Queen of Leenane”), and “Lookingglass Alice,” an “Alice in Wonderland” adaptation by David Catlin.
