‘Glengarry’ sets Pryce

Thesp to star in Mamet play on West End

Jonathan Pryce (“Pirates of the Caribbean,” Broadway’s “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels”) will topline a West End production of David Mamet’s “Glengarry Glen Ross,” set to open in mid-October and run through mid-January 2008.

Directed by Brit helmer James Macdonald (“Drunk Enough to Say I Love You?”), the show will be pro-duced by Jerry Frankel, Jeffrey Richards and Jam Theatricals — the team behind the Tony-winning 2005 Broadway revival of the play — along with Ron Kastner and Mark Rubin-stein.

Pryce will play desperate salesman Shelley Levene, the role portrayed by Alan Alda in the recent Rialto version.
