Memoir gets Off B'way run

“Not a Genuine Black Man,” a solo stage memoir about growing up black in a white suburb, begins a run at Off Broadway’s DR2 May 9 after winning acclaim in San Fran and Los Angeles.

Show is written and performed by Brian Copeland, a radio personality in San Francisco, and directed by Bob Balaban (“The Exonerated”).

Daryl Roth produces, with an official opening set for May 15.
