Jack Eldon has been upped to VP of touring at Disney Theatrical Prods.
Exec, who has marketed the company’s road productions of “The Lion King,” “Beauty and the Beast” and “Aida,” has been with Disney for 10 years.
Eldon will oversee planning, routing and negotiating deals with road presenters, in addition to continuing his marketing duties.
Disney has two touring companies of “The Lion King” out. Each plays seven to 10 markets a year and averages a hearty $1.1 million weekly gross.
The company’s latest offering, “Tarzan,” opens on Broadway May 10.
