Biz off; ‘Wicked’ $1.8m

Road Grosses

NEW YORK — Road grosses decreased in Week 52 (May 22-28) as the 11-show slate dropped 4.78% to total $11,120,321.

The decrease was in part due to the loss of “Chicago,” which was on hiatus for the week.

The first company tour of “Wicked” in Atlanta grossed $1,827,002, a house record. Other shows topping the million-dollar mark included “The Lion King” in Hartford, Conn.; the second company tour of “Wicked” in Chicago; “Monty Python’s Spamalot,” also in Chi; and the Orlando run of “Mamma Mia!”
