NEW YORK — Broadway is settling in for the winter, and while many shows continued a typical post-holiday slide during Week 33 (Jan. 9-15), others seem to have bundled up enough to hold steady.

Top earner “Wicked” ($1,362,006), for instance, was actually up by a little over $1,000 from the previous week. And while “The Lion King” ($1,099,633) fell by $118,437, “Monty Python’s Spamalot” ($1,067,515) was down by just $10,274, and “The Color Purple” ($985,315) dropped a mere $138.

“The Woman in White” ($627,664) rose about $85,000, while “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” ($899,114) bumped up $72,811 for John Lithgow’s final week and “Sweeney Todd” ($638,868) climbed $48,537.

The take for all 24 shows on Broadway came to $14,873,438, down about $2.1 million from the previous week but still on the high end of the average for the same sesh over the last few years.

As usual, several of the Rialto’s perennials saw the largest dips during this winter week, including “Beauty and the Beast” ($584,286, off about $95,000), and “Chicago” ($498,241, down around $75,000).

Three shows closed Jan. 8, but two new productions have arrived to fill in some of the blanks. MTC’s production of “Rabbit Hole,” David Lindsay-Abaire’s new play, earned $119,574 for its first four shows, and the Sarah Jones solo showcase “Bridge and Tunnel” bowed with $144,400 to show for a six-perf week.

The 19 musicals grossed $13,857,408 for 88.2% of the Broadway total, with attendance of 181,332 at 88.3% capacity.

The five plays grossed $1,851,272 for 11.8% of the Broadway total, with attendance of 26,264 at 81.3% capacity.

Average paid admission was $76.42 for musicals, $70.49 for plays and $75.67 for all shows.
