Balaban on board with ‘Secrets’

Production begins perfs at 37 Arts Feb. 22

Bob Balaban (“The Exonerated”) has come aboard to direct the Gotham return of “Family Secrets,” the one-woman show co-written and performed by Sherry Glazer.

“Secrets,” about a Bronx Jewish family transplanted to Southern California, garnered strong reviews when it origi-nally bowed Off Broadway in 1993, and has played around the country since then.

Show was co-written and originally directed by Glaser’s husband, Greg Howells, who mysteriously disappeared from a golf course in Monterey County in 1997.

Production begins perfs at 37 Arts Feb. 22, opens March 8 and runs through April 16.
