Espinosa, Hilty sign on for tuner's extended run
Two women who made their Broadway debuts in “Wicked” have been cast in the leads for the extended Los Angeles run at the Pantages Theater.Eden Espinosa, a former Disneyland entertainer, will appear as Elphaba; Megan Hilty will play Glinda. Espinosa also played Elphaba in the San Francisco engagement of the show’s national tour prior to assuming the role on Broadway. She also starred on Broadway in “Brooklyn the Musical.” Hilty appeared in the musical version of Jack Heifner’s “Vanities” at New York Theater Works, “Cafe Puttanesca” at New York’s City Theater and “Suds” at the Oregon Cabaret Theater. “Wicked” will open Feb. 9 at the Pantages.
