Kaye brings ‘Souvenir’

B'way play makes move to Brentwood

“Souvenir,” the Judy Kaye starrer that was well received when it played Broadway last season, will play a limited engagement at the Brentwood Theater Oct. 11-Nov. 5.

Kaye will reprise her role as Florence Foster Jenkins, a wealthy society eccentric of the 1930s and ’40s who fancied herself an opera singer. Previews of the Stephen Temperley play begin Oct. 5. Vivian Matalon directs; Richmark Entertainment is producing.

Kaye won a Tony for “Phantom of the Opera.” Other credits include “On the Twentieth Century” and “Mamma Mia!” on Broadway and last season’s Reprise production of “Zorba!”
