Luke Wilson is in negotiations to star opposite Sarah Jessica Parker in Screen Gems’ suspense thriller “Vacancy,” being produced by Hal Lieberman.
Screen Gems has yet to tap a director; production is planned for the fall.
Script by Mark L. Smith concerns a couple who check into a motel and, unaware there’s a hidden camera, become the subjects of a snuff film. Wilson would play the husband, Parker the wife.
Sony-based Lieberman is producing. Brian Paschal and Stacy Cramer exec produce.
Wilson next stars in New Line’s “Hoot,” based on the children’s book by Carl Hiaasen. He recently wrapped “My Super Ex-Girlfriend,” starring Uma Thurman, for Pariah and Regency Enterprises.
