Distant Horizon sells off Roddt thriller
The Weinstein Co. has acquired North American rights to Darrell James Roodt’s suspense thriller “Prey,” starring Bridget Moynahan and Peter Weller.
Pic — sold off by Distant Horizon — follows an American family on vacation in Africa who become lost in a game reserve and stalked by lions.
Jamie Bartlett and Carly Schroeder round out the cast.
Previous credits from Roodt, who penned the “Prey” screenplay with Beau Bauman and Jeff Wadlow, include “Yesterday” and “Cry, the Beloved Country.”
Pic was produced via Videovision Entertainment in association with Distant Horizon and Ingenious Films.
