Blaise Fernandes has been promoted to the newly created post of VP-managing director for Warner Bros. Pictures in India.
Fernandes will oversee all in-territory businesses with a focus on films while working closely with divisional prexies and regional and local management.
Like most of its Hollywood counterparts, Warner Bros. has put increasing emphasis on penetrating the Indian market, with generally more success than it’s had so far in China.
Fernandes, who has been with the company for 16 years, will report to Meyer and Horn through Fox.
Fernandes, who was educated in Mumbai, has been managing director for Warner Bros. in India since 1992.
