LONDON — The London U.K. Film Focus, an event designed to drive international sales of British pics, will take place June 25-28 in the British capital, Film London and its partners announced Friday.
The three-day event will take place at the British Film Institute’s new venue on the south bank of the River Thames.
Some 150 international buyers will be invited to see about 40 Brit titles during the showcase, which is once again supported by Film London, the U.K. Film Council, Film Export U.K. and the London Development Agency.
“The event has gone from strength to strength and has become a fixture for the international industry, offering both a real opportunity to raise the global profile of the capital as a filming hub and promote established and emerging homegrown talent,” said Adrian Wootton, Film London CEO.
Film London also plans to host a Production Finance Market in 2007 to promote London-based producers and the production of British films. Further details will be announced shortly.
