Telepool closes on deals

AFM Brief

Telepool has closed a slew of deals at this year’s American Film Market in Santa Monica.

Munich-based distrib sold Joseph Vilsmaier and Dana Vavrova’s Holocaust drama “The Last Train” to distribs in Mexico, Venezuela and Turkey.

Bettina Oberli’s Locarno screener “Late Bloomers” went to Spain and Japan, while Volker Schlondorff’s German-Polish pic “Strike” sold Stateside.

Spain’s Filmax picked up the CG-animated pic “The Way to the Stars,” which also went to Brazil.

Telepool’s slate also includes the recent German box office hit “7 Dwarves — The Forest Is Not Enough,” Til Schweiger starrer “Where Is Fred?” and buddy drama “A Friend of Mine,” starring Daniel Bruhl and Jurgen Vogel.
