Revolution raises Totino

Exec takes chief operating officer post

Revolution Studios chief financial officer Vince Totino has been promoted to chief operating officer.

Totino will oversee business and legal affairs, physical production and administration and Revolution’s international distribution partners.

Totino’s promotion follows the departure of former Revolution COO Jeff Small, who is segueing to a job as COO of DreamWorks.

Revolution is in the process of ending its run as an equity-partner studio based at Sony. After its next seven films are released, Revolution will shutter and founder Joe Roth will segue to a smaller production deal at Sony. Those pics include “Rocky Balboa”; the Ice Cube comedy “Are We Done Yet?”; “Perfect Stranger,” starring Halle Berry and Bruce Willis; and the Julie Taymor musical “Across the Universe.”

Totino joined Revolution in 2001 as VP of finance. Before that he was director of finance for Brillstein-Grey Entertainment and worked at Universal Studios in the corporate finance department.
