Sundance docu finds distrib

Newmarket Films has acquired North American distribution rights to the documentary “God Grew Tired of Us,” a double winner at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. A late-fall release is planned for the pic, narrated by Nicole Kidman and directed by Christopher Quinn and Tommy Walker. “God Grew Tired of Us,” which won the documentary grand jury prize and audience award at Sundance, chronicles the odyssey of three Sudanese men in the world of America and how they strive toward a brighter future. Film followes “the lost boys” John, Daniel and Panther from Africa to Syracuse, N.Y., and Pittsburgh.
