Thesp to star in 'King's Men,' 'Entering'
Where in the world is Jude Law?
Just one year ago, the London export was ubiquitous in megaplexes.
In 2004, Law graced the bigscreen in five films and lent his voice to another. It was hard to escape his work — or jokes about his work. (Remember Chris Rock‘s Jude jab at last year’s Oscarcast, and the subsequent Sean Penn fallout?)
But apart from the well-publicized “nannygate” scandal, Law all but vanished from billboards and one-sheets in 2005.
Some say he needed a vacation. Others suggest he should’ve taken a step back after being pushed so hard to become a B.O. draw in mainstream comedies like “Alfie.”
Either way, his name is back on the release schedule for ’06 .
Law teams with Penn and Kate Winslet in the Steve Zaillian-directed “All the King’s Men” (originally due out in late 2005) and reteams with his “Cold Mountain” director Anthony Minghella on “Breaking and Entering.”
