SINGAPORE — The revamped National Museum of Singapore’s Gallery Theater will be home to regular screenings of local fare beginning June 5.
Take One will run for two months, followed by Take Two from Aug. 14 to November end. Cine Launch films will screen daily for two weeks; Cine Weekly will showcase a different film every week.
Housewife arm-wrestling satire “Unarmed Combat,” from helmer Han Yew Kwang, is slated as the first Cine Launch. “Zombie Dogs” (2004) and “Money No Enough” (1998) will feature in the Cine Weekly program.
The $100,000 program is sponsored by the Singapore Film Commission, co-presented by the museum and emerging film distributor Pulse Pictures.
