Llosas in town to feast on the ‘Goat’

Brothers-in-law co-writing 'Molero' adaptation

Film director Luis Llosa, left, and novelist Mario Vargas Llosa, are at the Berlinale to tubthump “The Feast of the Goat,” which is directed by Luis and based on a novel by Mario — which many regard as the definitive written record of the horrors of Rafael Trujillo’s dictatorship in the Dominican Republic.

Brothers-in-law and cousins, the Llosas are thinking about continuing their professional relationship, co-writing an adaptation of Mario’s novel “Who Killed Palomino Molero?,” a desert-set Latin American murder mystery, with Luis once more up to direct.

A Panorama Special toplining Isabella Rossellini, Paul Freeman, Juan Diego Botto and Stephanie Leonidas, who are all in town, the Lolafilms-produced “Feast” screens today at the festival.
