Lazo upped to M.D. at Fox Mexico

Studio promotes marketing exec

Twentieth Century Fox Mexico has promoted marketing director Juan Carlos Lazo to managing director, giving him management of Fox’s theatrical distribution, marketing and administrative activities in Mexico.

He replaces Jose Juan Hernandez, who left last month to pursue other endeavors.

Lazo joined Fox Mexico in 1996 and was named manager four years later. He was promoted to marketing director in 2001.

He’s worked on “Titanic,” the “Star Wars” trilogy, “Fantastic Four,” “Passion of the Christ” and “Ice Age: The Meltdown,” which is the box office record holder for Mexico.
