Imagina new name

Co.'s activities range from TV, film prod'n to rights broking

Spain’s Arbol Group and Mediapro have named the new holding created by their recent merger: Imagina Media Audiovisual. The name is taken from Mediapro’s Barcelona high-tech production center Imagina.

Each company will continue to produce under its original name. Spanish production and services giant Mediapro and the Arbol Group, the biggest drama series producer in Spain, announced their merger in January.

Company’s activities range from TV and film production to rights broking, transmission services and post production.

Imagina has a war chest of $313 million to cover investments.
