IATSE organizes ‘Dream’

Over 90% of pic's crew sign authorization cards

The Intl. Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees has organized the crew of the low-budget feature “Dream Boy” in St. Francisville, La.

Organizers from Locals 478, 600 and the IATSE successfully obtained an agreement following two days of negotiations. IATSE said over 90% of the crew signed authorization cards and most of the non-union crew accepted applications into their local union.

The agreement covers 30 workers and provides for retroactive benefit contributions, overtime adjustments, travel pay and other industry standard conditions.
