Helmer-producer Cameron Crowe and South Korean auteur Park Chan-wook will be on the jury at the Venice Intl. Film Festival, where their pics preemed last year.
Spanish director Bigas Luna (“Sound of the Sea”), prolific Portuguese producer Paulo Branco, Russian actress Chulpan Khamatova (“Good Bye Lenin”) and Italo thesp-helmer Michele Placido (“Crime Novel”) round out the seven-member jury at the Lido event, which runs Aug. 30-Sept. 9.
Jury prexy is French actress Catherine Deneuve, as previously announced.
Crowe’s “Elizabethtown” and Park’s “Sympathy for Lady Vengeance” unspooled at the Lido’s past edition.
The main jury will award the 63rd Venice fest’s Golden Lion for feature; the Silver Lion to director; the Special Jury Prize’ actor and actress Volpi Cups; the Marcello Mastroianni prize to a young actor or actress; an Osella for screenplay; and a prize for technical contribution.
