Drama series nabs six awards

AUCKLAND — Drama series “The Insiders Guide to Love” took six awards at the 2006 New Zealand’s Qantas Television Awards, held in Auckland Saturday night.

Offbeat series mixing Zen and fantasy screened on pubcaster TV2 and won drama, director for Brendan Donovan, actor for Ryan O’Kane, actress for Kate Elliott, script (nonfactual) and camera (nonfactual).

“Grey’s Anatomy” took favorite international show.

The second Qantas Awards were held by the New Zealand Television Broadcasters Council.

Televised award show is distinct from New Zealand Film and Television Awards held in August and run by the New Zealand Screen Directors Guild.
