Gordon gears prod’n pair

Inglee, McLaughlin placed as new toppers

Mark Gordon’s production company has put Lawrence Inglee and Josh McLaughlin in charge of overseeing its film slate, which includes a new project set up at Warner Bros. based on the wedding comedy pitch “Arranged.”

Warners has hired Allan Loeb (“Things We Lost in the Fire”) to pen the script. The male-driven storyline revolves around a man in an arranged marriage. The Mark Gordon Co. will produce with Scarlet Fire Films, a new venture formed by Loeb and producer Steven Pearl.

Other projects Inglee and McLaughlin will supervise include Paramount and DreamWorks’ “Killing Pablo,” written and directed by Joe Carnahan; a remake of Otto Preminger’s “Bunny Lake Is Missing” starring Reese Witherspoon; and scribe Robert Rodat’s epic sports drama “Olympia.”

The Gordon Co. is in pre-production with Warner Bros. on writer-director Roland Emmerich’s “10,000 B.C.” and recently wrapped production on “The Hoax,” starring Richard Gere and Alfred Molina, and John Curran’s “The Painted Veil,” starring Edward Norton and Naomi Watts.

Shingle’s latest releases include “Casanova” and “The Matador.”

McLaughlin and Inglee will report directly to Gordon, whose shingle has a first-look deal with Columbia Pictures. They take over for former production topper Betsy Beers, who has segued into a full-time exec producer position for ABC megahit “Grey’s Anatomy,” which Gordon’s company produces.

Before joining the Gordon Co. five years ago, Inglee was a development exec at Brian Grazer and Ron Howard’s Imagine Entertainment. McLaughlin began his career at the Gersh Agency before joining Gordon’s shingle as a development exec in 2000.
