FilmFour flips ‘Genova’ coin

Winterbottom pic finds financing

CANNES — FilmFour will finance Michael Winterbottom’s next movie “Genova.”

Written by Laurence Coriat, who penned Winterbottom’s 1999 “Wonderland,” “Genova” is the story of a father and his two daughters who move to Italy after the mother’s untimely death.

It’s described as a coming-of-age story about love, grief and growing up.

FilmFour financed Winterbottom’s Berlin prize-winner “The Road to Guantanamo,” and has a first-look deal with his company Revolution Films for TV projects.
