Hagan makes debut with comedy
Deb Hagan has signed to make her feature directorial debut with the youth comedy “College,” produced by Element Films in association with State Street Pictures and LIFT.
Lionsgate will distribute through its output arrangement with Element.
“College,” penned by Dan Callahan and Adam Ellison, centers on three high school seniors who have the wildest weekend of their lives when they visit a nearby college as prospective freshmen.
Element’s financing, with Sam Nazarian and Marc Schaberg serving as exec producers. State Street’s Bob Teitel and George Tilman, who brought the project to Element, will produce along with Malcolm Petal and Morris Bart of LIFT; State Street’s Rene Rigal and Element’s Julie Dangel co-produce.
Hagan’s directed numerous national commercials and short film “Pee Shy,” which won its category at the Toronto, London, Los Angeles and New York film festivals.
Hagan’s repped Gersh and managed by Alison Rosenzweig at Rosenzweig Films.
