MUNICH — Cinema Tout Ecran, the Geneva-based fest aiming to bridge the gap between television and cinema, today announced its full lineup and the members of its international jury.
Among pics to be shown during the Oct. 30-Nov. 5 event are a selection of shorts by the Palestinian Filmmakers’ Collective.
The fest’s international competish lineup includes Oliver Hirschbiegel’s (“Downfall”) one-man monologue “Just an Ordinary Jew,” starring Ben Becker; Iranian war drama “Goodbye, Life” by Ensieh Shah-Hosseini; and Serbina pic “Optimisti” by Goran Paskaljevic, five Serbian stories set in the post-Milosevic era.
The fest’s international jury will be chaired by French thesp Elsa Zylberstein. Jury members include Teuton producer Max Wiedemann (“The Life of Others”), Belgian thesp Deborah Francois (“The Child”) and French helmer Emily Atef (“Molly’s Way”).
Another sidebar will be a tribute to Brit helmer Ken Loach’s work for the small screen. Israeli helmer Amos Gitai will deliver a master class.
Among Swiss pics screening in the fest are the world preem of “Don’t Panic” by Denis Rabaglia, which is part of the international competish, and the world preem of “Nos Archives Secrets” by Noel Tortajada.
