Benelux nabs quartet

Unit scores distrib rights to 'Hairspray,' 'Inkheart'

Warner Bros. Benelux has acquired distribution rights to four New Line features – “The Golden Compass,” “Hairspray,” “Inkheart” and “Journey 3D” — in Holland and Belgium.

The deal’s the first time the two companies have worked together in the Benelux territory. Warner Bros. said it plans to release “The Golden Compass” in those markets at the beginning of December 2007.

New Line wrapped production earlier this fall on “Journey 3D” and is currently in production on the other three films.
