Bavaria tastes the ‘Bitter Tropics’

Company also reps 'Children,' 'Aspe,' 'Sotto'

CANNES — Bavaria Media Television has picked up worldwide distribution rights to the French television production “Bitter Tropics.”

The high-profile miniseries is set in 18th-century Martinique and revolves around an aristocrat and a woman born into slavery.

” ‘Bitter Tropics’ is a further step on our way to the internationalization of our portfolio,” said Oliver Krauter, Bavaria’s head of distribution.

Other international miniseries represented by the company are “Hidden Children,” “Aspe” and “Sotto Casa.”
