Asian fest sets sked

Festival to feature 'Singing,' 'Gangster,' 'Duelist'

The fifth annual New York Asian Film Festival, running June 16-July 1, will feature 25 films including “No Singing. No Dancing. No Mercy: The Films of Ram Gopal Varma” (India), “Gangster” (Malaysia) and “Duelist” (Korea).

Fest pics, which come from China, Malaysia, Thailand, Korea, India and Japan, were selected from some 200 Asian films by five members of the Subway Cinema, a Gotham-based film programming collective.

Anthology Film Archives in the East Village and the ImaginAsian, on the Upper East Side, will serve as fest venues.

Past fest participants include helmers Suzuki Seijun, Park Chan-Wook, Kim Ki-Duk and Johnnie To.

Advance tickets go on sale Friday.
