Arclight offers ‘Dare’

Arclight Films has sold all Japanese rights to Xanadu and Australian rights to Hoyts Distribution for Alfonso Arau’s upcoming tango drama “Dare to Love Me.”

The Japanese distrib’s Hiroki Numata, Gary Hamilton from Arclight Films and exec producer Jason Price negotiated the seven-figure deal.

Arau and L.A.-based Argentine producers Lucas Jarach and Nicolas Veinberg will produce the $15 million pic about the life of Argentine tango legend Carlos Gardel.

Principal photography is slated to begin in the spring.
