Warner Bros. Pictures has set up an untitled comedy for Phoenix Pictures and Underground Pictures to produce. It will mark the feature directorial debut of Phil Traill.
Story revolves around two sons who try to disrupt the wedding plans of their widowed father after they learn their soon-to-be stepmother’s true personality.
Producers are Mike Medavoy and Arnie Messer at Phoenix and Nick Osborne at Underground. Trevor Engleson and David Thwaites, also with Underground, are exec producing.
Mary Elder wrote the original treatment and screenplay, while Dan Schneider, Hadley Davis and Roger Kumble have completed various rewrites.
Brit-born Traill penned the script for the upcoming Blighty pic “Opal Dream.” He also directed the British TV series “Spoons” for Channel 4.
