Susan Van Der Werff has been upped to exec veep, international publicity, for Sony Pictures Intl. the week before the bow of “The Da Vinci Code,” one of Sony’s biggest and trickiest openings ever.
Save for a three-year absence in the late ’80s, Van Der Werff has been with Columbia/Sony since 1982 in sales and media relations. She most recently served as senior VP for international publicity.
Van Der Werff is coordinating the campaign for “Da Vinci” and previously worked on the “Spider-Man” pics and “Hitch,” among others.
