U counting on ‘One Dave’

Project set up with Parent, Stuber

Universal has decided to try “One Dave at a Time,” snapping up the comedy pitch from Gerald Olsen.

Project has been set up with Mary Parent and Scott Stuber under their Stuber/Parent banner. Logline for the project’s being kept under wraps.

Olson is currently packaging his script “Posthumous” and going out with the spec “A Birder’s Guide to the Mating Habits of Widows.”

Stuber and Parent, the studio’s former co-prexies of production, produced U’s summer comedies “The Break-Up” and “You, Me and Dupree.”

They’re also producing “Halo” and “The Prisoner,” with Christopher Nolan directing the latter. Stuber’s a producer with Michael Mann on “The Kingdom.”
