Technicolor will break ground next month on a six-story facility at the Sunset Gower Studios in Hollywood.
Set to open around November, 2007, the 117,000-square-foot building will house production and post-production stages along with executive offices.
“Our new post-production hub at Sunset Gower Studios will allow us to stay ahead of demand, consolidate locations, and gain certain economic advantages from limiting duplication of infrastructure and operational functions,” said Mary Ann Fialkowski, prexy of Technicolor Content Services and Technicolor Film Services.
Groundbreaking comes as Sunset Gower is embarking on a modernization and refurbishment of its entire 17-acre lot, where TV shows including “Deal or No Deal” and pics like “Number 23” are shot.
Lot was bought by private equity firm Global Innovation Partners for more than $100 million in late 2004.
