TCM to air 24-hr. Winters tribute

Net to screen 12 of the actress' films

NEW YORK — Following in its tradition of honoring late industry veterans die, TCM will air a 24-hour tribute to Shelley Winters on Monday. Winters died Saturday.

Network will screen 12 of her films (which number more than 100), including her breakthrough, “A Place in the Sun,” for which she received an Oscar nomination, and “A Patch of Blue,” for which she won an Oscar in 1966.

The last person to be feted on TCM was helmer Robert Wise in September.
