“La Senal,” the film Argentine helmer-scribe Eduardo Mignogna (“The Wind,” “The Escape”) had in pre-production when he died Oct. 6, will see the light of day.
Project will still topline Argentine star Ricardo Darin (“The Son of the Bride”). A new helmer will shortly be attached.
Pic will be co-produced by Spain’s Wanda, Fenix and Manantial and Argentine production houses Patagonik, Retratos and Pampa.
“It’s going to be an homage to Eduardo. We should begin shooting in March,” Wanda CEO Jose Maria Morales said at the 32nd Huelva Ibero-American Film Festival, where he was honored Monday with a lifetime achievement award.
Mignogna adapted “La Senal” from his hit novel of the same title, a violent detective yarn set during Eva Peron’s last days.
