Fox taps Kearey for int'l slot
Fox Intl. has hired veteran exec Rebecca Kearey as senior VP of international marketing and sales for Fox Searchlight.
She’ll be based in Los Angeles and develop strategies for all Searchlight overseas product for theatrical and home entertainment.
Kearey will report to Fox Intl. heads Tomas Jegeus and Paul Hanneman along with Keith Feldman, general manager of Fox Home Entertainment Intl.
Announcement of Kearey’s promotion comes on the heels of Searchlight upping Nancy Utley and Steve Gilula to chief operating officer slots.
Kearey had been senior VP of marketing at United Artists since 2004 and supervised domestic marketing campaigns for UA’s theatrical releases including “Hotel Rwanda.”
Before working at UA, she was head of marketing and distribution at The Works in London, where she oversaw international campaigns for “Bend It Like Beckham” and “Whale Rider.”
Kearey also worked at Independent Pictures and Screen Gems in Los Angeles and began her career at Searchlight as a marketing coordinator in 1995.
