Searchlight lifts Lewis

Exec has been with co. since its 1995

Fox Searchlight has upped Claudia Lewis to production prexy.

Move follows a series of exec shuffles that have come since shingle topper Peter Rice also took the reins of Fox’s new, and unnamed, youth division.

Lewis will report to Rice as well as recently promoted chief operating officers Nancy Utley and Stephen Gilula.

Lewis has been with Searchlight since its 1995 launch under Tom Rothman. Most recently she held an exec VP title. During her tenure, she has overseen production on more than 30 films, including “Sideways,” “Kinsey,” “In America,” “Sexy Beast” and “The Full Monty.”

Prior to Searchlight, Lewis was a producer with Addis Wechsler and a production veep at Avenue Pictures, where she oversaw “The Player” and “Drugstore Cowboy.”
