In an eventful week that began with a Golden Globe award for “Walk the Line,” Reese Witherspoon ended her search for a talent agency by signing with Endeavor.
Witherspoon had been agentless since April, shortly after the retirement of WMA agent Steve Dontanville. Dontanville signed Witherspoon when she was 14 on the set of her debut film, “The Man in the Moon.”
The actress met with all the major agencies before the holidays. She was the highest-profile actress in play in quite some time.
She has not lined up her next star vehicle, though she is off to London for “Penelope,” playing a small role in a film she’s producing with her Type A partner Jennifer Simpson and Scott Steindorff.
