Pune fest fetes Kemper, Chopra, Bali

Event will also honor helmer Palekar for his pic 'Paheli'

The fourth Pune Film Festival, which wraps on Thursday, feted vet cinematographer and head of its international jury Victor Kemper, Bollywood helmer-producer Yash Chopra and thesp Vyajantimala Bali with lifetime achievement awards.

The fest will also honor helmer Amol Palekar for his film “Paheli” (Riddle), India’s entry in the foreign-language Oscar race.

Event, inaugurated by Information and Broadcasting Minister Priyaranjan DasMunshi on Thursday, is screening 110 films from 35 countries in multiplexes around the city. Include are sections on short films, documentaries and world cinema.
