Picturehouse and New Line Intl. have acquired worldwide rights to horror-suspense pic “Amusement,” to be helmed by John Simpson (“Freeze Frame”).
Script, penned by Jake Wade Wall (“When a Stranger Calls”), is about three women stalked by a killer with a childhood grudge against them.
Lensing is skedded to begin this year. No cast has been set.
Deal was announced Tuesday by Picturehouse prexy Bob Berny, New Line Worldwide Distribution and Marketing prexy and COO Rolf Mittweg, and New Line Intl. prexy Camela Galano.
“‘Amusement’ shows the diversity of product that will be released under the Picturehouse banner,” said Berny.
