NewFest, Gotham’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender film festival, has unveiled its full slate, with 230 films due to unspool during the 10-day event.
Paul Dinello laffer “Strangers With Candy,” a prequel to the Comedy Central skein starring Amy Sedaris and Stephen Colbert, will open the fest June 1. For the first time, fest will also feature a filmmakers panel with Dinello and Sedaris, co-presented with Indiewire, set to be held at the Apple Store in Soho.
Todd Stephens’ “Another Gay Movie” and Manuel Gomez Pereira’s “Queens” will act as the fest’s two centerpiece pics at the 34th Street AMC Loews. Ramon Salazar’s tuner “20 Centimeters” will close the fest.
